Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Brote, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms may be updated from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Description of Service

Brote is a coffee brewing journal app for iPhone and iPad. It lets you log brew parameters, track your bean collection, and review your brewing history. Core features are free. Some features require an active subscription.

Subscriptions & Billing

Brote offers two auto-renewing subscription tiers, available through the Apple App Store:

All payments are processed by Apple. Brote never directly handles your payment information. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings. No refunds are issued by Brote — refund requests must be directed to Apple.

User Content & Data

Brew logs, bean records, notes, and other data you create in Brote are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. Brote does not upload or access your content. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. Deleting the app will permanently remove all locally stored data.

Intellectual Property

The Brote app, including its design, name, logo, and code, is owned by the developer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the app.

Limitation of Liability

Brote is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss of data, loss of profits, or other damages arising from your use of the app.

Termination

You may stop using Brote at any time by deleting the app. The developer reserves the right to discontinue the app or any features at any time without notice.
